Evie'd used magic to unpack boxes super quick, things floating to their proper places at a word from herself or Jack, and it reduced unpacking time from a few hours to just one. Now, Evie sat outside on their front porch, waiting for...

well, she's embarrassed to admit it since she loves cooking, but she's waiting for a delivery of Chinese from a local restaurant.

She just set up the kitchen and really doesn't feel like messing it up again.

With an iced tea in her hand, she sits with her elbow on her knee and her chin in her other hand, smiling as she hears Jack come out of the door to join her.

Without glancing up at him, watching the world around them, she says four very important words.

"We have a house."

This matters so much to her, and she can't even begin to imagine how much it means to her boyfriend.
